“Music is a vehicle to express my spiritual self; an offering to Divinity,” says Lalita Sharma, a maestro in Carnatic and Hindustani classical music.

Her life has been a learning process in the two rich
Indian musical traditions, having taken the transition
from one stream of music to the other in her stride.
She is a highly acclaimed vocalist of the Mewati Gharana
and a senior disciple of the great maestro, Sangeet Marthand, Padma Vibhushan Pt. Jasraj.

Gifted with a rich, mellifluous voice, Lalita has an excellent command of musical diction and deft management
of rhythm.

She is the founder & Director of Swaraangan school for Hindustani music, Chennai.
